A special music and poetry night was organized by Yunus Emre Institute Amsterdam at the OBA Concert Hall.

The program, which started on Friday April 15  at 20:00 was performed under the artistic directorship of the 91-year old well-known Dutch musician and composer Theo Loevendie. It was organized on the occasion of the 700th anniversary of the death of famous sufi poets, Yunus Emre.

This program was planned within the scope of UNESCO 2021 Yunus Emre year and had to be postponed to this year due to the pandemic. The selective poems were performed by tenor Sinan Vural and the other performers were Maarten van der Grinten on the guitar, Tijs Klaassen on the double bass, Oene van Geel on the violin and Steve Altenberg on drums.

The viewers have shown a great interest to this beautifully designed program in which the heartwarming poems of Yunus Emre and Dutch poet Hans Verhagen were presented in a mystical way.
